Chitrapuri Colony Inauguration: Prabhakar Reddy Kin Unhappy!
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Jan 2023 8:37 AM GMTHaving a dedicated colony for the poor Cine workers, Chitrapuri Colony is an old idea. It took a few decades for the idea to get shaped. The colony was started recently and Megastar Chiranjeevi launched the project and handed over keys to the beneficiaries who were allotted the houses.
Though the idea was fulfilled the man who pitched the idea was ignored. Many don't know that veteran actor-director Prabhakar Reddy was behind this and donated around 10 acres of land for the colony. The cost of the land now stands at thousands of crores.
So many expected that Prabhakar Reddy's family members would be invited to the occasion as a bid to honor the actor who played a vital role in conceptualising the project and donating the land. Surprisingly that did not happen.
Days after the inauguration of the colony, Prabhakar Reddy's daughter Sailaja Reddy gave an interview to a popular media outlet and spoke about various issues that are related to the dedicated colony for the cine workers. She addressed a wide range of topics.
She started her reaction by expressing her dissatisfaction over her mother not getting an invitation from the committee as it was her father who donated the land and had the dream of making a good space for the poor cine workers to have a good space to live with other facilities.
Sailaja Reddy said that her mother felt bad for not getting an invitation and she got to know about this from the media. She also said that it is a basic thing and humanity to invite her mother for the occasion so that she can get to speak a few words about his husband and see people hailing him for his great work.
Talking about the work her father has done for the Chitrapuri Colony, Shailaja Reddy said that he used to run around by making plans and meeting concerned people. Reddy also said that her father wanted to set up a Hospital and other facilities in the colony.
Shailaja Reddy was also asked about the alleged scam that is said to be involved in the construction of the houses. Reacting to this she said that she has no idea what is happening as far as the case investigation is concerned.
