Church Father booked for sodomising minor boy

Mumbai police arrested a 52-year-old man on Tuesday for sodomising a minor boy. The accused, identified as Father Johnson Lawrence charged under section 377 (unnatural offence) and relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
According to the police, the incident happened around 1pm on November 27 in a church which was situated in Shivaji Nagar area of Govandi, FIR in this regard was lodged by the parents of the 13-year-old victim on Monday.As per the police the church father took the boy to an isolated area. He then gagged and sodomised him.Roy then asked boy to go home and threatened to beat him if he told anyone about what had happened.
When the parents saw him bleeding, they took the child to a hospital and later filed a case. He has told his parents that the accused had touched him inappropriately in the past as well.The boy was interrogated and sent for medical test on Tuesday.The accused has been absconding from the last night.
