By: Tupaki Desk | 17 March 2021 8:27 AM GMTThe Crime Investigation Department (CID) is intensifying its investigation and probe into alleged land scam in the Amaravati region, dubbed as 'Insider Trading'. The other day, CID issued notices to Chandrababu Naidu and former Municipal Minister P Narayana.
After slapping notices to the duo, the CID sleuths are searching the offices and residences that belong to TDP leader and former Minister Narayana. The raids are being carried out in three locations simultaneously.
The CID sleuths reached the former Minister's residence in Hyderabad today. However, Narayana was not present at his residence when the sleuths came. With this, the CID officials issued notices to his wife.
The search operation was called by the officials to gather more details and information on the Amaravati land scam. Narayana has been facing allegations in the Amaravati land scam.
The CID sleuths will take a call on whether or not to include the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act in the FIR based on the information they get after interrogating TDP supremo and former Minister.
More details on the proofs and information are awaited. We will get more information once the CID issues an official statement on the piece of evidence they gathered in the raids.
Earlier, the CID lodged an FIR against Chandrababu Naidu and Narayana under 120b, 166,167, and 217 sections pertaining to the alleged irregularities in land acquisition in the Amaravati region. The duo was directed to attend before them on the 23rd of this month.
As usual, the opposition TDP alleged a political angle behind the CID notices and said the development has a political influence and said he is not fearing the development and maintained he has not indulged in any wring activities.
