CID Report On Capital Lands' Insider Trading Ready

The YS Jagan Government's CID report on the Amaravati land scam is ready. The report would soon be presented to the Chief Minister. The committee has conducted a probe into the allegations of insider trading in the Amaravati land, where TDP biggies and those close to Chandrababu Naidu have bought lands from the local farmers at throwaway prices as they had advanced information about capital coming up at Amaravati.
It may be recalled that highly fertile farm lands of Tullur and surrounding villages in Amaravati have been chosen for building the state capital despite the Sivaramakrishnan committee recommending against it. The information was reportedly given to TDP biggies like Narayana, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Prattipati Pulla Rao, Devineni Uma, Galla Jaidev, Muralimohan and Sujana Chowdary, who is now in the BJP. They bought lands at throwway prices from unsuspecting farmers. It was only later that the formal announcement of capital city being set up there came up. YSRCP has alleged that there was insider trading and the TDP leaders had unfair advantage. Once the YSRCP came to power, it ordered a CID probe into it. The report is now ready. The committee scoured villages like Nelapadu, Tullur, Dondapadu, Inavolu, Sakhauru, Neerukonda, Kuragallu, Undavalli, Venkatapalem and other villages and collected solid information about the insider trading. The YS Jagan Government will now study the report within two weeks and then would re-launch the capital city works. The Government is likely to initiate action against those resorting to insider trading. This only means that troubled times are ahead for the TDP leaders now.
