Bhogapuram Airport given green signal!

After Defence Ministry, Union Civil Aviation Ministry headed by TDP MP Ashok Gajapathi Raju issued necessary clearances for the Bhogapuram international airport in Vizianagaram district.
Right now, Site Clearance has been given to Bhogapuram aiport by Civil Aviation Ministry during a meeting at New Delhi. Union Government gave its nod to the project after a power-point presentation by the officials.
Bhogapuram Aerotropolis spread across 5,000 acres comprises international airport, aviation academy and maintenance & overhaul facilities. While 1,600 acres of it is assigned land, Government will acquire the remaining land from farmers. Rs 1,500 crore is being sought from banks and financial institutions as loan for land acquisition and rehabilitation.
Inspite of opposition from Locals & YSR Congress, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is moving ahead with the strong determination to follow Singapore model to ensure immense growth in the coming years. One can only wish CBN's vision turns into a reality!
