Close Aide performs Jayalalithaa's Last Rites

6-Time Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa was laid to rest Today at the Marina Beach in Chennai. The sandalwood-make coffin in which mortal remains of Amma were placed was brought to the funeral site. Topbrass Politicos in the country stood on either side of the grave.
Jayalalithaa was laid to rest next to her Co-Star and AIADMK Founder MG Ramachandran. A burial was opted instead of cremation. As part of the state funeral, A guard of honour was given to the deceased Leader.
It was Jayalalithaa's close aide Sasikala Natarajan who performed the last rites. Dressed in a black saree, She was seen sobbing beside the coffin and rose petals were poured on it.
Lakhs of AIADMK Activists, Supporters and Well-Wishers have been present for the funeral procession. Most of them even walked for close to 10 kms. Thousands of police personnel were deployed to prevent untoward incidents.
