CM Jagan raises several key issues at Niti Aayog Council meeting!
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 Feb 2021 9:20 AM GMTPrime Minister Narendra Modi has chaired the sixth meeting of the Niti Aayog Governing Council through a video conference on Saturday. The agenda of chairing the meeting is to discuss various issues with the state governments.
During the meeting, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has listed the difficulties, the state has been going through. The Chief Minister has also raised several key issues in the meeting.
CM Jagan has raised the special status issue and said that special status will help Andhra Pradesh in excelling in industrial development, which faced severe loss with bifurcation. He has also reminded that the special status issue was announced in Parliament.
Taking about the interests on PFC and REC loans, the Chief Minister said, the state government has been paying 10-11 percent of interests, which is a big burden for the state.
Andhra Pradesh is taking the path of reforms endorsed by the union government. The government is providing incentives for the industries that are showing good performance, he said.
Adding further, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has requested the Niti Aayog to approve the revised estimations for the Polavaram project and sought permissions for 13 medical colleges.
