CM Jagan visits Pingali Venkayya's daughter, honours her

On the occasion of the Centurian year of the Indian National flag, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy visited Sri Pingali Venkayya's family on Friday at their residence.
The Chief Minister honored Ghantasala Sitamaha Lakshmi, Pingali Venkayya's daughter. She lives in Macherla town in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur. A presentation on Pingali's life was inaugurated by CM Jagan.
CM Jagan spent some time at their residence which made Pingali's family happy with Chief Minister visiting their residence and spending time with them. They presented Pingali's autobiography to Jagan.
Jagan paid a visit to Pingali's family colliding with the celebrations called by the Union Government to celebrate the 75th anniversary of India's independence. AP too kickstarted celebrations with Jagan honoring Pingali's family members.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi kick-started the celebrations named 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. The celebrations were started with a flag-waving procession from Gujarat's Sabarmati Ashram.
