CM Who Asked Modi To Stop Polavaram
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Jun 2018 4:12 AM GMTOdisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote a letter to Centre with the demand of stopping Polavaram which was declared as a National Project.
In the letter to Union Minister for Environment Harshvardhan, Naveen Patnaik mentioned he had already written two letters to PM Narendra Modi regarding the same issue. He complained completion of Polavaram without resolving issues related to Sabari and Sileru rivers is a violation of Godavari Water Tribunal guidelines.
CM of the neighboring state demands stoppage of Polavaram Works until Resettlement & Rehabilitation (R&R) gets completed.
Polavaram Project is under threat now. Why because, Naveen Patnaik is the head of NDA's alliance partner BJD. Even Visakha Railway Zone was denied citing the objection raised by Odisha. Raising the Polavaram issue at this point of time raises many doubts.
