People of India might have witnessed MLA and MP Candidates campaigning even on stretchers whenever their health condition wasn't good enough. Have we ever seen a statue campaign on behalf of a candidate?
This innovative campaigning happened in West Bengal. None other than CM Mamata Banerjee's Nephew Abhishek Banerjee came up with this idea to avoid getting strained in the scorching heat during the Summer. He is the MP Candidate of TMC for Diamond Harbour Constituency.
The statue of Abhishek Banerjee was attached to the Jeep. This idol was surrounded by Supporters of the MP Candidate who kept raising slogans in support of him. Statue Campaign video which went viral on social media has drawn flak. Netizens questioned, 'How could the Sitting MP address the issues of the people if he is so scared of the scorching heat?'. Some people joked Abhishek Banerjee might even send his statue to Parliament if he gets elected as MP for the second time.
