CM Urges PM To Stop Polavaram Project

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention to bring the construction of Polavaram Project to a halt.
Recently, Centre offered necessary clearances for the Polavaram Project. Odisha CM raised objection for Polavaram citing tribal villages in Malkangiri District will get submerged and the irreparable damage it causes to Agriculture Land & Forest Area in Odisha.
Naveen Patnaik appealed the Prime Minister to conduct a public hearing in Odisha on Polavaram Project. He stressed the need to change the design of the National Project while expressing concerns over the damage it causes to Odisha.
