CM's shocking comments on Nurses
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 April 2015 7:41 AM GMTGoa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar stirred a controversy by advising Nurses not to stage hunger strike under the sun as it will eventually make them dark and hurt their marriage prospects.
Anusha Sawant, one of the Nurses in the Group which met CM to discuss on the demands, revealed: "Chief Minister said Girls sitting on hunger strike in hot sun will not be able to find a good bridegroom as their complexion becomes dark".
While CM Laxmikant Parsekar was unavailable for reaction on the controversy, CMO made it clear that it has no idea such a statement was made by the Chief Minister.
Nurses and Other Workers of 108 Ambulance Service, operated by a private firm with Govt's approval, were staging a hunger strike since the past few days in Goa for making the Government agree their demands.
