Col. Santosh Babu's Wfe To Be Deputy Collector

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, aka KCR, announced Rs 5 crore as compensation to Colonel B Santosh Babu's family. The Colonel was martyred in the violent standoff between Indo-Chinese troops in the Glawan Valley in eastern Ladakh.
Along with the compensation, KCR announced 500 yards of residential plot in Sheik pet and Group 1 job for his wife Santoshi.KCR will personally visit Santosh Babu’s residence and hand over the help.
"The entire country should stand by the military personnel guarding our country's borders. We have to support those martyred in their line of duty and help their family members," CM KCR said.
Through the Union Defence Ministry, the Telangana government will also give Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the 19 Soldiers who were also killed in the standoff in eastern Ladakh.
The mortal remains of Colonel Santosh Babu were immersed at the confluence of Musi and Krishna rivers at Vadapally by the family members.
