Cold war brewing between Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay?
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 April 2021 4:15 AM GMTIs a cold war brewing between Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy and BJP state president Bandi Sanjay in Telangana. Yes, say those in the know. Both Reddy and Sanjay don't seem eye to eye on many things and have been working at cross purposes.
Kishan Reddy's group feels that Sanjay is not pragmatic enough. It feels that Sanjay's aggression is unwanted. They say that Kishan Reddy wanted some understanding with Prof Kodandaram for the Graduates MLC election. That way, Kodanda Reddy's supporters would have voted for N Ramachandra Rao in Hyderabad constituency, while BJP would have voted for Prof. Kodandaram. Unimaginative strategy has led to the defeat in both the seats. As for the bypoll to LIngojiguda division in GHMC too, they feel that there is nothing wrong in going to the TRS to ask it not to put up any candidate and ensure a unanimous poll.
But Bandi Sanjay feels that this decision to go to the TRS is as bad as BJP sitting MLAs going to KCR during2018 elections. Due to this, the party had lost its deposits in over 100 seats, Sanjay feels. He is said to have been very upset with the party leaders not keeping him in the loop while meeting KTR. This will only ruin the goodwill the party has earned as a credible alternative to the TRS, he feels.
