When the world was already dealing with the Covid crisis, Russia gave another reason for the world to worry about by waging a war against the European nation Ukraine. It's been more than 5 weeks since the war started. Lives are lost on both sides so far and the ongoing war is expected to bring a big loss to humanity.

Many activists and celebrities are condemning Russia on the issue and standing in solidarity with the war-hit Ukraine. Another Global star joined the list with Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra appealing for the world leaders to extend their support for the refugees around the world. She said that world leaders cannot simply watch what is going on.

To extend her support for the refugees, Priyanka Chopra took to her social media and released a video. In the video, Priyanka said that the crisis caused by the ongoing war is very big and it's high time that the world leaders should support the refugees.

"World leaders, we need you to stand up for refugees around the world to ensure that they get the support they need now. We can't just stand by and watch," Priyanka said in her post.

In the video she shared, Priyanka Chopra said that it's high time that the world leaders come together to lend a helping hand to the displaced people not just in Ukraine but across the world. Listing out the horrible impact the war had created, Priyanka Chapra said that it is the biggest loss since world war 2.

"We need you to take action to help the displaced people from Ukraine, and all around the world. Two million children have been forced to leave everything behind in search of safety in neighbouring countries. Together with 2.5 million children internally displaced, it's one of the largest large-scale displacements since world war 2," Priyanka Chopra can be heard in the Instagram video.

Priyanka Chopra had reacted to the issue as a UNICEF Ambassador. Her association with the global body started back in 2006. Four years into the association, she was given the post of national UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2010. Since then, she has been raising her voice on such issues.
