We Don't Want Somu Veerraju As President!

Few days ago, Kambhampati Haribabu resigned to the post of AP BJP President citing he wishes to see youngsters in the party handle such a big responsibility. BJP Leadership had begun the exercise to choose the best leader to lead the party from the front in the election year. There were reports of MLC Somu Veerraju's name being zeroed in by the High Command.
However, BJP AP Leaders have been objecting the elevation of Somu Veerraju as the party president. MLAs are of the feeling that how could party leadership appoint president without even discussing with the key leaders. They even complained Somu Veerraju's loud mouth had only damaged the party's reputation and no priority was given to the leaders who joined BJP in the past four years.
BJP Leadership took the decision of Kanna Lakshminarayana to quit the party seriously. Names of Somu Veerraju and Kanna were considered for the post of party president. In the end, High Command opted for Veerraju who remained loyal to the party since many years. So, Kanna convened a meeting with his followers to join YSR Congress Party.
