Congress Leaders and Workers went into jubilant mood after watching the early trends when counting of votes begun on Monday morning. While few Media Houses reported neck-and-neck fight between BJP & Congress, Others began debating on the Anti-Modi/BJP wave. Celebratory mood was evident in Congress Offices across the Nation. Many Congress Loyalists believed the prediction of Rahul Gandhi (Jabardasth Results) might come true.
Whereas, All the hopes of Congressmen were ruined within just few hours. BJP began picking up lead to win over 100 seats to form government comfortably in Gujarat once again. On the other hand, The Saffron Party had a clear upper hand over Congress in Himachal Pradesh since the counting began.
Congress Headquarters in New Delhi wore a gloomy look & the Journalists outnumbered the party leaders present there. Not many Leaders could be seen in the offices all over the nation after it became certain that BJP will form government in both the states. The festival atmosphere which was there in the morning just evaporated by afternoon.
Congress Maharashtra MP Rajeev Satav claimed his party has put up a spirited fight in Gujarat and made Modi camp in his home state till the last date of campaining. He also feels Modi tried to emotionally attract voters rather than relying on development agenda.
