Kannada Actress Ramya showed her mark in politics after joining Congress Party. She, however, made headlines for her controversial statements once in a while.
Recently, Ramya targeted none other Narendra Modi. She claims to have not found a single image of Prime Minister with flood-affected victims in Gujarat, Assam and Bihar. 'Ok guys, I will give you Rs 25,000 if you find me a picture of Modi with flood victims in any of these three states. No Photoshop!,' she announced the offer on Twitter.
Ramya faced criticism for coming up with such an offer on a sensitive issue. While few netizens advised the Actress not to resort to such publicity stunts/fake promises, Others pointed out how Gujarat Congress MLAs spent days in Karnataka resort when people of their constituencies suffered due to floods. A Twitter User even enquired how he should send bank account details as he had already sent the photograph. He further advised Divya not to challenge a Swayamsevak and take this experience as a life lesson.
