Padma Shri Row: Congress Hit Out At The Centre

Congress slams the centre for awarding Padma Shree to singer Adnan Sami. the Congress asked why Kargil war veteran was declared as a foreigner through NRC, while the son of Pakistan Air Force has been conferred with the Padma Shree.
Adnan Sami was born in London, to a Pakistan Air Force officer, applied for Indian citizenship in 2015 and got the Indian Citizenship in 2016. He was one among the 118 people whose names are announced for the Padma Shri awards.
Hitting out at the centre Congress spokesperson said Kargil war veteran declared as a foreigner after NRC and the Adnan Sami's father who fought against India during 1999 Kargil war has been honoured with the Padma Shree - this is the magic of government Chamchagiri.
Adnan Sami replied to Congress spokesperson and said hey kid did you get your brain from the clearance sale or secondhand novelty store?
Did they teach you in Berkley that the son is to be accountable or penalised for the acts of his parents?
And you are a lawyer?
Is that what you learned in law school? Good luck with that
The war did not end there,
The Congress spokesperson replied saying that I can reply in your language but Indian culture teaches us to be respectful even to our enemies you jumped border only recently so guess you're still learning.
The objection is to policy of declaring Indian soldier as a foreigner and giving the award to the family of a Pakistan soldier.
