Move over rallies, public meetings and traffic jam-causing events.... Politicis can now be played on your finger tips. Party meets can be organized at the click of the mouse and votes can be won through Facebook accounts and Twitter hashtrags. Yes. 2018 Telangana assembly elections are all set to become veritable virtual elections. The TRS and the BJP are already ahead in the social media campaigns. KTR is very active on Twitter and he responds to requests and appeals in a jiffy. Harish, who is active on the Facebook, informs the people about every development in the irrigation department. Now, the Congress too is joining the social media bandwagon. Uttam Kumar Reddy is all set to talk to thousands of booth managers through Facebook life. This could well be the beginning of Congress social media blitzkrieg. In fact, PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy has been hitting back at KTR's Twitter volleys with tweets only.

Though late entrants, even the Left Parties are now focusing on the social media. "WE initially did not give much weight to the social media.
