KVP's Letter On Polavaram Irks TDP Camp
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 Dec 2017 6:46 AM GMTThe plan of TDP Government to gain political mileage from Polavaram Project backfired after missing deadlines, queries raised by Centre and also because of the fund crunch. It has come to the stage that Pawan Kalyan questioned, 'Why don't AP Government release a White Paper if there is no corruption in Polavaram?'. Whereas, CM Chandrababu Naidu made it clear there is no need for White Paper when the details were clearly mentioned in the official website. 'Information in Website is like placing details in the public domain. If we place all the details in order, That itself is gonna be White Paper,' he says.
Congress Rajya Sabha MP KVP Ramachandra Rao wrote a letter alleging TDP Government hasn't been fighting for safeguard the interests of the state when Centre violated the AP Reorganisation Act 2014. He warned that People willn't tolerate if there is any secret deal between Centre and CM Chandrababu Naidu over the budget of Polavaram Project.
KVP claimed he moved a petition in High Court seeking directions to centre to bear the complete cost of Polavaram in accordance with AP Reorganisation Act 2014. 'High Court asked Centre and State Government to file counter within four weeks. The next hearing is on December 19th. But still, AP Government hasn't filed its counter so far. Even Jana Sena Party demanded White Paper on Polavaram Project. Without the approval of Centre, Chandrababu Naidu increased the project cost as per his wish and created a big confusion,' he complained.
