Karnataka By-Election Results: Huge Blow To BJP!

Congress-JD (S) Alliance have a clear upper hand over BJP in the Karnataka by-elections. The coalition government won 4 out of 5 seats which went for by-polls. While Congress won Jamakhandi Assembly Seat, JD (S) bagged Ramanagara Assembly Seat. Congress-JD (S) Alliance attained Ballari and Mandhya Parliament Seats as well. BJP managed to win only Shivamogga Lok Sabha Seat.
BJP Leader Sriramulu resigned as Ballari MP to contest in Assembly Polls. In the by-election, Saffron Party fielded Sriramulu's Sister Shanti. Much to everyone's shock, Congress defeated BJP by a big margin.
CM HD Kumaraswamy's Wife Anitha contested from Ramanagara By-election and emerged victorious.
Doubts have been raised over the longevity of Congress-JD (S) Government until recently. By-Election Results gave an indication that there won't be threat anytime soon.
