Congress Party announces candidates for MLC polls

The Congress, which is determined to give a tough fight to the ruling TRS in the MLC polls, has decided field former MPs for the MLC elections.The names have been forwarded by the TPCC leadership to the high command and all the names are likely to get approval from high command.
Name of A Chandrasekhar was finalized for Ranga Reddy district. Mahbubnagar ZP chairperson Damodar Reddy name was sent for Mahbubnagar local body constituency.
Former ZP chairman of Nizamabad Venkata Ramana Reddy for Nizamabad. Maheshwar Reddy from Adilabad and Ex MP Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy from Nalgonda. In Khammam, the party is not going to contest and it has decided to back the CPI candidate.
Elections are being held for 12 local body constituencies and the Congress will contest from eight. Speaking to the media, Nalgonda's candidate Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy exuded the confidence that his party has the required numbers to win the MLC polls in Nalgonda
