As the polling date is approaching, The confidence of Congress Leaders in Karnataka kept decreasing and latest surveys are making them cope with sleepless nights. This is happening just because the poll prospects of BJP kept improving day-by-day.
Until few days ago, There was a feeling that BJP got weakened in Mumbai-Karnataka region. There are 50 Assembly Constituencies in Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gadaga, Haaveri, Dharwada and Bagalkote. In 2013 Polls, Congress and BJP bagged 31 & 13 seats respectively here. Anti-Incumbency and Group Wars worked in favour of Congress Party.
As per the latest survey, BJP got strengthened here contrary to the impression Congress had so far. While BJP is likely to win 27 seats, Congress could settle with 21 seats and JD (S) might bag 2 seats.
Sensing trouble, Rahul Gandhi would resume his campaigning on Monday. Sonia Gandhi got ready to campaign for her party on Tuesday with the public meeting in Vijayapura.
