Congress Party brought the proposal of 'Rich Tax' to lower the rising levels of income inequality. Which means, Five Percent Cess will be levied on the one percent of the Super Rich Indians if UPA forms government.
At the Congress 84th Plenary in Delhi, It's been announced that National Poverty Alleviation Fund would be created using the 5 percent cess on richest indians. This fund will be used for providing Education Scholarships to children from SCs, STs and other Below Poverty Line Families.
Main Opposition alleged wealth of the richest increased by 73 percent and bottom half of the population grown by 1 percent under NDA Rule. 'Anti-people Policies of Modi Government widened the gap between rich and poor. Agricultural Growth NDA I (1998-2004) and NDA II (2014-2018) were just half to that of UPA Government. We gonna bring Loan Waiver Scheme and guarantee MSP on farm produce,' says Congress.
