By: Tupaki Desk | 25 July 2020 7:20 AM GMTThe Congress politicians in Rajasthan have turned the state into a huge drama. The majority led by CM Ashok Gehlot and the minority led by former deputy CM Sachin Pilot are matching step for step and are fighting it out in the worst possible manner.
On Friday, the Congress staged a five-hour Dharna demanding that a session of the Rajasthan Assembly be convened on Monday. The Governor said he would go as per law and said he would do the needful at the earliest. Meanwhile, Gehlot's opponents have approached the High Court demanding that the status of the six MLAs from the BSP, who have merged into the Congress. It is because of these MLAs that Gehlot is claiming a majority in the house. The petitioner wanted the court to decide on the status of these MLAs before the house is convened.
So, will the court pronounce its verdict on the six BSP MLAs and what if their merger is declared illegal? In that case, what will happen to the Rajasthan's government? Will the Congress still want the assembly session if the BSP MLAs are disqualified? Well! Monday promises to be a day of drama. Let's see how things unfold.
