Is Congress Planting Rebels To Defeat TDP Nominees?
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Nov 2018 6:46 AM GMTTDP's Macheavelli Chandrababu Naidu has told the TDP leaders and cadre in Telangana that they should not worry about the number of seats they would get and take whatever is offered by the Congress in Telangana. They were told to only chalk out a strategy to win the maximum number of seats from among what they are given. The TTDP leaders followed it to the last T. So, they got 14. In fact, the TDP is the least litigant among the Maha Kutami partners. So, they should have got an easy ride on the electoral path. But, problems still continue to dog them.
Congress rebels are giving them sleepless nights to the TDP candidates. The rebels are ensuring that the much-projected vote transfer among the Kutami partners does not take place. For instance, TDP's Nama Nageswara Rao is in the fray from Khammam. But, the Congress is yet to extend its support to him. His political rival Renuka Chowdhary is yet to back him. She might even have a rebel in the field.
Similarly, Harikrishna's daughter Suhasini is the TDP candidate from Kukatpalli. But, the Congress local leadership has already said that it would not support her. Similar is the plight of industrialist Bhavya Anand Prasad. Though known to be close to Balayya Babu, he is finding that the Congress men are not cooperating with him. Former MLA and Congressman Bikshapathi Yadav is fighting the elections as a rebel.
Similar is the plight of Devender Goud's son Veerender Goud. He is fighting from Uppal, But Bandaru Lakshma Reddy, a Congress rebel , is all set fight the elections. Revuri Prakash Reddy is TDP candidate from Warangal West, but Congress rebel Nayini Rajender Reddy is already a candidate there. Sama Rangareddy is the TDP candidate from Ibrahimpatnam. But, Congress rebels Malreddy Ranga Reddy and K Mallesh are set to join the fray as rebels. In Rajendranagar, Sabitha Indra Reddy’s son Karthik Reddy is all set to the Congress rebel. In Makthal TDP leader Kothakota Dayakar Reddy and Mahabubnagar's Erra Sekhar too are finding that the Congress rebels are in the fray.
The Congress has ensured that every TDP candidate is finding that the Congress rebels are in the fray to eatinto their votes. Thus, if the rebels succeed, the TDP candidates may have a difficult road ahead. Now, the TDP leaders are asking what did Chandrababu achieve by joining hands with the TDP.
