Congress Worker sets himself ablaze for Special Status

Demand for Special Category Status took a serious turn with a Congress Worker attempting suicide at a public meeting held by APCC in Tirupati on Saturday.
Muni Koti, a 46-Year-Old, rushed to the dais and raised slogans demanding Special Status before pouring kerosene on himself and setting afire.
Doctors say, Muni Koti suffered 95% burns and his condition is very serious.
Mr.Koti, a divorcee, is a resident of Manchala street in Tirupati. Even his friend Seshu suffered injuries in an attempt to rescue him.
AP Congress President N Raghuveera Reddy announce Rs 2 lakh financial assistance and also promised to care of all the medical expenses.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu appealed people not to resort to suicide for Special Status informing TDP Government is doing every possible to attain it.
