Consider lifetime ban on Convicted leaders: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court had also made similar comments yet again while hearing a petition that seeks to see no delay in the case hearing of the leaders.
A petition that aims at seeking directives to have no delay in hearing the cases faced by the leaders was filed at the Supreme Court and came up for the hearing today.
During the arguments, the Supreme Court reportedly advised the Parliament to look into banning those who were convicted. Having said that, the Supreme court had also mentioned that it has made similar comments earlier too.
A few weeks back, the Supreme Court had asked all the political parties to submit the details of the cases faced by their respective leaders to the Election Commission.
Earlier this month, the Apex Court found fault with the parties dropping the cases faced by their leaders
