India played its part in helping the fellow countries in dealing with the deadly Covid pandemic by supplying Covid vaccines and other required medical supplies. The list of countries helped by India in the tough time goes. India sent supplies and vaccine doses to superpower country the United States too.

Keeping up the Samaritan work, India had once again came to the rescue of Afghanistan and sent a consignment of anti-Covid vaccine does. More than half a million Covid doses have been sent from India, which would reach Afghanistan land very soon.

Confirming the development, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the consignment was sent to Afghanistan to lend a helping hand to the country as a humanitarian gesture. As a new year's gift to Afghanistan, the consignment was left from the Indian land.

"The Government of India is committed to provide humanitarian assistance to Afghan people consisting of foodgrains, one million doses of COVID vaccine and essential life-saving drugs," the Ministry said in a statement.

The consignment had caught everyone's attention as it marks the first-ever such help after the country fell to the Taliban. The Iran Airways vehicle carried the consignment which would land on Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan today.
