Controversy over Sekhar Kammula film Anamika poster

Sekhar Kammula choose to promote his upcoming film Anamika with a 'missing' poster and teaser of Ajay Swaminathan played by Harshavardhan Rane. In the film, Ajay Swaminathan will be seen as an husband of pregnant lady Anamika played by Nayantara. Anamika will be in search of her missing husband in the movie and what happens during the coarse of time makes it an interesting watch.

The president of the outfit described the concept as a cheap publicity and opined it is hurting the sentiments of Hindus. He demanded for the removal of the poster with immediate effect.
Responding to the controversy, Sekhar Kammula clarified he has no intention to hurt anyone's feelings and explained the poster is part of a unique promotional campaign.
