X
Intelligent people use the latest technology to race ahead in their lives. Telangana Police department has taken up such an initiative to of adopting the latest technology to increase efficiency in the department. Sending a piece of information simultaneously to all the police officials in the state is a tough task. They have developed a new system to overcome this challenge through new technology. They have readied a new mobile application which is similar to WhatsApp that can send SMS.. audio.. video messages to one lakh persons at once. Named as Cop Connect, they are testing the mobile app now. The app will be made available to all the police soon.

Police used to depend on WhatsApp groups till now to send messages but the users limit has become a huge limitation. WhatsApp doesn't allow any group to have more than 256 members. So, the police across Telangana are maintaining small groups to share the information. Telangana DGP Mahender Reddy took the initiative for readying this kind of app and the technology wing of Hyderabad City police have designed this app. They have already tested it successfully.

They have named it as Cop Connect because only police can use the app. 60,000 police in the state will be using this app after it is ready. Right from the DGP to ordinary constable, everybody will be present in the same group with this app. Another important feature of this app is that it is very secure and the information shared in the group can't be shared with others who are out of this group.

Police department officials are saying that the app will improve the efficiency of the department as they can solve missing cases, murders of unidentified persons etc. as information will be available to all the police officials. DGP Mahender Reddy is saying that they have developed this app with the suggestion of CM KCR.
