Cop stopped me saying I looked like a foreign prostitute: Singer

Going into details Singer Vandana Vadehra was returning to her home from the Mumbai airport at 1 am when a policeman named Hemant Sawant stopped the cab she was travelling in and insulted her with derogative comments. The incident took palce when the singer was on her way home in a cab when she was stopped at around 1 AM by policemen.
The constable in name of the enquiry started asking questions to Vadhera and demanded to see her identification card. Further, the Constable allegedly made a remark that he knows what kind of people stay in the area and passed some remarks which were objectionable. The actress complained that the constable insulted and misbehaved with her and commented saying she looked like a prostitute.
The singer submitted a written complaint to the police, seeking strict action against the man who misbehaved with a woman travelling alone in the night.The police have taken note of her complaint and are now conducting a probe.
