Cop who exposed Sasikala Jail Life Rejects Award

IPS Officer D Roopa who exposed the VIP Treatment offered to VK Sasikala Natarajan in the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison refused to accept 'Namma Bengaluru Award' as it fetches her a high cash reward.
The Lady Cop has sent a letter to Namma Bengaluru Foundation which is a non-profit organization saying her conscience doesn't permit her to accept the reward.
As many as Seven Officials were shortlisted for 'Government Official of the Year' Award by Namma Bengaluru Foundation which was funded by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar. In the end, The decision was taken to present the award to D Roopa who fought for justice despite pressures from Ruling Party and Higher Officials in Sasikala's episode.
In her report, D Roopa alleged Sasikala offered Rs 2 crore bribe to prison officials for VIP Treatment. The Convict was offered TV, Special Meals, Cot, Mattress and Pillow. She even made corruption allegations against Prisons DG and Jail Officials.
