Cops Arrest 5 People Over Conspiracy To Kill Bjp Mla

An FIR was registered by the cops and the investigation has been launched.
As a big sensation in the case, five people were taken into custody in connection with the case after a video that allegedly shows people discussing the plans to eliminate the BJP MLA went viral on social media. According to the police, the investigation is going at a good pace and more information will be gathered at the earliest.
According to the media reports, five people including Congress leader M.N. Gopalakrishna were taken into custody on the grounds of the alleged viral video. The probe is underway and more details are awaited. However, the Congress leader had managed to get bail in the case, reports said.
Going into detail, BJP leader S.R.Vishwanath, who represents the Yelahanka constituency had reached to the concerned Police Station and alleged that a conspiracy is being made to kill him and lodged a complaint. Days after this, a viral video in which M.N. Gopalakrishna reportedly spoke about the conspiracy went viral.
Reacting to the complaint received, the cops registered a case under the Indian Penal Code sections of 120(B) under criminal conspiracy and 506( criminal intimidation). However, Congress said, all the allegations are fake and alleged political gains behind filing the case.
