Telangana: Cops arrest a man for creating fake G.O on fresh lockdown!

However, it was found that the circular was a fake one and a person named Sanjeev Kumar created a fake G.O and released it on various social media platforms. Reacting sharply to the news, Hyderabad City Police arrested the man.
The person behind the fake G.O hails from the Nellore town and works as a CA with a private entity. He had downloaded the G.O issued by the state government last year while imposing the lockdown. Changing the dates, the C.A released the fake G.O, CP Anjani Kumar said.
After detaining the person, the cops seized a laptop and mobile phone from his possession. Talking to the media, the CP urged the citizens to not believe any news until and unless it comes from the government end.
The CP also warned the people to not forward fake news and rumours on social media platforms and said cases will be filed against people who spread any fake news. Donât spread the news without knowing about the news, he said.
