COVID-19 Updates: 'Mission 15' Started In Narasaraopet

The positive cases of the novel coronavirus in Narasaraopet of Guntur are spreading rapidly as 12 fresh cases were reported on Wednesday in the city taking the toll of the cases to 363 in the district.
Narasaraopet turned out as the worst hit city in the district with 163 cases as Guntur restricted to second place in the district with 162 cases. Following this latest developed the concerned officials have started special measures and precautions.
The authorities started a special program called 'Mission 15' to see that there should be no positive cases in the city in the coming 15 days. The officials were awaiting the results of more than 500 samples.
Guntur is the most affected district in the state followed by Kurnool, Krishna and Nellore districts. The positive cases of COVID 19 in Guntur stood at 363 as of now. To date, 8 members have succumbed to the dreaded virus in the district.
The authorities have divided the 20 containment zones in Guntur district into 50 clusters. The classifications of these clusters were based on the count of the cases of COVID 19.
