Corona Death Toll Spikes To 3867 In India

The death toll due to the disease rose to 3,867 after 147 more fatalities, according to the bulletin released by Union Health Ministry. The active cases of the corona virus disease (COVID-19) rose to 73,560, while 54,440 people have recovered and a patient has migrated to another country said the ministry's bulletin. "Thus, around 41.28 per cent patients have recovered so far," a Health Ministry official said. The total number of confirmed cases of the novel corona virus includes foreigners.
The states Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Delhi are in a serious phase reporting the majority number of new cases daily. So far 47,190 cases were reported in Maharashtra out of which only 13,404 were cured and 1577 were reported dead. On the other side Tamil Nadu reported 15,512 cases, Gujarat reported 15,512 cases and Delhi is with 12,910 cases so far. It remains to be seen how far these state governments try to curb the deadly virus.
