Corona Effect: Rajasthan opts for stricter lockdown
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 May 2021 1:17 PM GMTGiven the devastating situation caused by the ongoing Corona crisis, one more state joined the list of states that went for lockdown, after the Rajasthan government has opted for lockdown restrictions.
The Rajasthan government led by Ashok Gehlot announced a statewide lockdown to break the chain transmission. The lockdown will come into effect from 5 AM on May 10 and will continue till 5 AM on May 24.
The statewide lockdown was announced after chairing a key meeting that was held virtually on Friday. To see that the virus is not spread further, the state government has voted for the strict lockdown.
No marriages can be organised till the 31st of May. During this lockdown, no marriage-related event will be given permission by the state government. DJ, Sound system and catering will be allowed at weddings.
However, Court marriages will be permitted during the lockdown period. More than 11 invitees should not be allowed to the weddings. The court marriage details should be submitted at Covidinfo.rajasthan.gov.in.
As a major relief to the migrant workers, industrial works and construction works will be permitted in the state, so that the migrant workers need not leave the state.
The government issued directives to the owners of the marriage halls, function halls, and banquet halls to either give back the advances taken from the customers or allot dates to them after the lockdown.
