Corona Erecting Walls Between States?

Even as a controversy is raging between Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh over erection of a wall on the highway, the Odisha administration too has resorted to the same step. The Odisha government too has set up a wall to prevent persons from AP from going to Odisha.
This came to light when a pregnant tribal woman from Odisha border in Srikakulam had to be shifted to the nearest hospital in Odisha. The woman was taken in a car, but as the car hit a road block, her relatives carried her in a make-shift doli and took her to the other side of the wall. From there, she was carried to the hospital in the same doli as no vehicle was available on the Odisha side of the road. The AP Government had taken the issue to the notice of the Odisha government and requested them to demolish the wall immediately. Interestingly, similar walls have been erected between the Delhi, Haryana border too. Similar walls were set up on UP border with Delhi and Haryana.
Even on the AP-Tamil Nadu border, the Vellore district administration has erected a similar wall to prevent the movement of persons and vehicles form Chittoor district. The wall was later removed after the AP government raised objections. Vellore has good medical infrastructure and the patients from AP go to the other side for treatment of various ailments. Similarly, everyday at least 10000 litres of milk is transported from the Tamil Nadu side into the Chittoor district.
