Corona News: Italy Registers 475 Deaths On a Single Day

Italy, which is the second-most affected nation by the novel coronavirus just next to China witnessed an even more deadly impact of COVID-19 with 475 deaths happening on a single day in Italy.
This takes the toll of the death count in Italy to 2,978 and the count of infected people to 35,713. Talking about worldwide more than 2,00,680 people were infected and 8,092 deaths were recorded.
"Since German reunification, actually, since the second world war, there has never been a challenge for our country in which acting in solidarity was so very crucial," German chancellor Angela Merkel said.
Europe has surpassed Asia in terms of COVID-19 deaths. While 3,384 deaths were recorded in Asia, 3,422 people lost their lives due to the novel coronavirus. More than 200,000 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed across 156 countries, while China, Italy, Iran, Spain, and Germany records the most outbreaks.
