India Reports The Highest Single Day Cases Of COVID-19

In what it could be a shocker, 1993 positive cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in the country which makes it the highest single day cases so far. With this, the total count of COVID 19 stood at 35043.
As of the morning of Friday, 1147 deaths were reported in the country. The active cases in India stood at 25007 with 8889 patients managed to recover from the virus and got discharged from the hospitals accordingly.
Maharashtra continues to be the worst hit state of COVID 19 in the country as the count of cases stood at 10,498 with 583 positive cases reported in Maharashtra in the past 24 hours.
With the 15 deaths recorded in the state in the last 24 hours, the death count in Maharashtra stood at 459.
Gujarat, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan turned out as the other states that were facing the wrath of the COVID 19 outbreak. The toll of COVID 19 cases in Gujarat stood at 4,395 with the 313 new cases reported.
Delhi reported 76 fresh cases of COVID 19 in the past 24 hours taking the count of the cases to 3,515 while 59 have succumbed to the fatal virus in the Union Territory to date.
Talking about Madhya Pradesh, the state witnessed 99 cases in the past 24 hours taking the count to 2,660 while 130 have lost their lives to the virus so far.
