221 Policemen Infected With COVID-19 Virus

The novel coronavirus originated from the Wuhan Province of China continues to trouble India as the situation in the country turned out to be worse from bad as the cases are getting higher day by day.
In the latest development, 221 police personnel were infected with the fatal virus in Maharashtra in the past 24 hours. This takes the toll of the infected police personnel in the state to 1007.
Out of the 1007 cases, 106 High rank officers were infected with the virus while 901 policemen developed the positive symptoms of the virus in the state so far.
Talking about the total cases of the novel coronavirus in the state, Maharashtra is the worst hit state in terms of the positive cases with the cases surpassed 20,000 mark which is the highest for any state in the country.
