Corona scare in Nagarjunasagar, TRS candidate in isolation?

Finally, the inevitable has happened. Many of those who took active part in the election campaign in Nagarjunasagar have tested positive. On Monday alone, over 160 persons tested positive and most of them were very active in the recent election campaign. As a result, there are fear and uncertainty in Nagarjunasagar.
We had already reported that Covid norms were thrown to winds. In fact, at least 14 leaders, who had tested Corona positive, had campaigned vigorously during the bypoll campaign and did not follow any quarantine rules. Some did not even wear a mask. Similarly, masks and physical distancing were not followed even during the CM's public meeting at Halia.
On Monday, 59 active cases were registered in Peddavura mandal, 66 in Halia, 11 in Gurrampodu, 7 in Nidamanur and 17 in Nagarjunasagar mandals. Most of those who tested positive were active in the recent bypolls. It is being reported that Nomula Bharat, who was the TRS candidate for the bypoll, too has tested positive. Another key leader from the constituency too has tested positive.
