Shocking: Coronavirus Infections In India Surpasses 50 Lakh-Mark

In a shocking development, Coronavirus infections in India surpassed the mammoth 50 lakh-mark as over 90,000 fresh infections were reported in the last 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, as many as 90,123 fresh infections of the ongoing pandemic were reported. With this, the total infections in India mounted to a whopping 5,02,0359.
On a brighter note, the total recoveries of the contagious disease in the country are heading towards the four million-mark with 39,42,360 patients recovering from the virus so far.
The data released by the Union Health Ministry stated that the toll of the active cases is nearing the one million mark. Including 5,872 fresh recoveries, the total recoveries zoomed to 9,95,933.
India reporting over 1,000 fatalities since quite a time is also an area of concern raising many fears about the spread of the virus. India added 1,290 fresh fatalities taking the total fatalities to 82,066.
Looking at the states with the highest number of pandemic infections, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh tops the list and hold for 60 percent of India's infections.
Globally, the total infections passed surged the 29.5 Million mark, while 20 Million patients have been recovered from the virus so far.9.34 lakh patients have lost their lives to the virus globally.
