Corporate Executive Quits Materialistic Life, Finds Peace In Path Of Renunciation

Going into detail, Prakash Shah, who had a long association with the Reliance Industries led by Mukesh Ambani, turned into a monk along with his wife on Mahavir Jayanti.
After holding several key positions at Reliance Industries, Prakash Shah retired from Reliance Industries last year as a Vice-President. After his retirement, he had decided to take the spiritual path.
He played a big role in marketing the petcoke for the company and the petcoke gasification project of Reliance in Jamnagar.
He holds BTech and MTech degrees in Chemical Engineering from the famous IIT Bombay. After completing his studies, he joined Reliance Industries Ltd. His wife is a Commerce graduate.
On the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, Prakash Shah and his wife Naina Shah followed renunciation, the Jain ritual to become the monk. At the age of 24, Prakash Shah's son became a Jain monk, nearly a month ago.
