Corporators Give Tough Time To TRS Candidates

Know who is the biggest enemy of the TRS candidates in Hyderabad? It's not the BJP nor the Congress and not even the Telugu Desam. It's their own corporators. The corporators are giving a torrid time for the party candidates in most of the constituencies. They are demanding hefty sums in return for support. Some are actually asking for a replacement of the official candidates.
Take for instance Jubilee Hills. Here the official TRS candidate is Maganti Gopinath. He has won on TDP ticket and joined the TRS later. But, all the five corporators of the TRS in his constituency are ranged against him. They have so far not joined his campaign. Similarly, TRS candidate from Uppal is spending sleepless nights these days. The reason? Six corporators of the TRS have refused to support him. They want the candidate to be changed. Corporators Devender Reddy, Gandham Jyotsna, Anala Reddy, Saraswati and Swarna Raj want Mayor Bonthu Rammohan to be the candidate instead. Subhash Reddy is running from pillar to post for their support. In Serilingampally constituency too, five corporators are opposing Arikapudi Gandhi, another TDP turncoat. Here Hafeezpet corporator Jagadeeswar Goud is strongly opposing Gandhi. He and his wife, who too is a corporator, have refused to join the campaign.
The announced candidates are now seeking intervention from KCR and KTR so that the corporators come round and support them.
