48 hours ban on Whatsapp

A Brazilian judge has banned WhatsApp in the country for 48 hours and the orders came effective from today morning at 2:00am. The decision was taken by judge for the failure of messaging platform to comply with a court order in a criminal case
According to the Judge " WhatsApp did not respond to a court order of July 23, 2015. Later the company was again notified In August. As yet the company did not attend the court order, the prosecution requested the blocking of services for a period of 48 hours"
WhatsApp has over 100 million personal users in Brazil.This is the single most-used app nationally and the service is widely used by people, companies and federal and local governments to send messages and share pictures and videos.
Jan Koum, the founder of WhatsApp responded on court order and said he was disappointed in the short-sighted decision. The post of Jan was liked by facebok founder Mark Zuckerberg
