Court convicts Derek Chauvin of murder and manslaughter in George Floyd Case

The court heard the case today and after a long hearing, the court found the former officer Derek Chauvin guilty in this case. The ex-officer has been convicted on three counts.
A jury consisting of 12 members heard the case the hearing went on for 10 hours. The 12 jury members include five men and seven women. Chauvin is found guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter charges.
For this, Derek Chauvin faces nearly 40 years, 25 years, and 10 years of jail imprisonment respectively for the three counts.
A large number of crowds waited outside the court hall when the hearing is going on. When the court declared the former cop guilty in the three counts, the crowd expressed their happiness by chanting 'Black Lives Matter' slogans.
African-American George Floyd passed away in 2020 May. Derek Chauvin knelt on Floyd's neck and back. When Chauvin, who was the cop then didn't leave Floyd, despite he pleaded him.
After the sensational incident, Derek Chauvin was removed from the post and the investigation has started.
