Being on a public platform, one has to watch their steps and words, or else they have to face the deadly impact of the damage caused by his/her comments. A budding actress is a classic example of what happens when the comments cross the line and create a controversy.

How can one forget the infamous controversy of actor-model Meera Mithun who was in the news earlier by alleging making casteist remarks against a particular community?. The issue is not over yet and the issue has come back to haunt the actress.

The issue saw a big development when the Chennai Principal Sessions Court had issued an arrest warrant against her. Taking a serious note of the actress missing the hearing in the case, the court took the decision. In the warrant, the court had also issued directives to the cop.

As per the information shared by the Tamil media, the sessions court had directed the Central Crime Branch cops to arrest Meera Mithun and produce her before the court.

Getting more into the details of the case, the controversy traces back to last year. Meera Mithun made many heads turn with her alleged comments on the Scheduled Castes (SC). As she made the comments on a show, her comments went viral on social media and triggered various protests.

Raising objections to her comments, Chidambaram Parliamentarian and founder chief of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, which bats for the rights of Dalits, Thol. Thirumavalavan had complained with the cops. Few other complaints were also filed against her.

As a result of multiple complaints filed against her, the Tamil Nadu Police had registered a case against her and tried to arrest her. However, the cops were surprised to know that Meera Mithun was absconding. After finding her whereabouts, she was arrested in Kerala and brought to Tamil Nadu.

Following the court orders, she was sent to jail and after spending a few weeks, she was released on bail. The trial has been going on since then. With Meera Mithun not attending the trial, the sessions court had ordered for her arrest. This is the latest development in the case.
